What this site collects
The Groove Library is a static website hosted on Netlify. There are no user accounts, no database, and no server-side tracking.
Two things collect data:
- Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data (pages visited, country-level location, device type). This only runs if you accept analytics in the cookie banner. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.
- Netlify Forms stores submissions from the contribute form (name, email, location, and whatever you write in the form fields). This data is only used to read and respond to your pitch.
That is everything. No other tracking, no advertising, no data sold to anyone.
Cookies and localStorage
The site uses localStorage (not a traditional cookie) to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics. Google Analytics sets its own cookies if you consent. No other cookies are used.
Third parties
The site loads resources from these external services:
- Netlify for hosting and form processing
- Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics (with consent)
- Mixcloud for embedded music players (loaded only when you click play)
- Google Fonts for typography
- Font Awesome for icons
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not control how they handle data on their end.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold. In practice, the only personal data we store is what you submit through the contribute form.
To make a request, use the contact page or email us directly. We will respond within one month.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Given the simplicity of this site, changes are unlikely to be frequent.
